"Recording 'Pick Me Up' felt as if we were taking a break in between multiple high speed roller coaster rides. The band was able to catch its breath from the other fast, aggressive tracks and lay into something quite sweet, the likes of which are only hinted at through the rest of the album," Broadheds' Peter Walker tells Rolling Stone. "It's a love song – a profession of love and the need to hold onto the fire and desire between two people – even if summer break might get in the way."
