Artist: Wild Nothing
Song: "Paradise"
Album: Nocturne
"I've always been a huge fan of David Bowie's Let's Dance album so I really pushed for a big Nile Rodger's influenced sound on the drums; super processed, super 80's. We ended up adding quite a lot to the track, including an upbeat guitar part that got tacked on towards the end and tons of feedback tracks on the middle section," Wild Nothing's Jack Tatum explains to Rolling Stone. "That whole section was something that we went back and forth on but it ended up being one of my favorite moments on the record... It's also probably the only Wild Nothing song that will ever use Madonna's 'Holiday' as an EQ reference."
