A sweltering July seems like a contrarian time to preview a holiday album, but that's not stopping Nick Lowe: the veteran rock & roller today is streaming Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for All the Family for 24 hours, months before it will be available in stores.

Random Notes: Hottest Rock Pictures

The 12-track LP, due out October 29th on Yep Roc, features three Lowe originals (one of which he co-wrote with Ry Cooder) and a song Canadian singer and songwriter Ron Sexsmith wrote for the collection, along with traditional tunes and holiday standards by the likes of Roger Miller and Wizzard.

Quality Street, available here for pre-order, follows Lowe's 2011 album The Old Magic.

Track listing:

"Children Go Where I Send Thee" (Traditional)
