The Call's Michael Been Dead at 60
Michael Been of the 80s rock band The Call passed away yesterday after suffering a massive heart attack backstage at the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium. Been was also the father of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Robert Turner, and served as a sound engineer for the band. [Spinner]

Lauryn Hill Returns to Charts
Lauryn Hill's leaked track "Repurcussions" landed on the Billboard Hot 100 at Number 94, marking the first time the former Fugees singer has had a song on that chart in over a decade. [All Hip-Hop]

Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera for Benefit Concert
Christina Aguilera, Salt-N-Pepa, Diddy and Lady Antebellum have all signed on to join Justin Timberlake at his annual Justin Timberlake and Friends benefit concert, taking place at Las Vegas' Theatre for the Performing Arts on October 23rd. [MTV]

Madonna Sued Over "Material Girl" Clothing Line
Madonna has been sued by clothing company L.A. Triumphs, who claim that Madonna's daughter Lourdes' fledgling clothing label Material Girl infringes on their copyright of "Material Girl" since they've been selling clothes under that moniker since 1997. Madonna of course had a hit with "Material Girl," which inspired her clothing line's name. [TMZ]

Stone Poneys' Kenny Edwards Dead at 64
Kenny Edwards of the Stone Poneys passed away Wednesday, August 18th at the age of 64. In addition to his work with the country-rock band, Edwards also performend with Brian Wilson, Don Henley and more. [ Billboard]

This club-oriented single featuring Timbaland, who produced Nelly Furtado's third album, Loose, was Furtado’s sexy return after the Canadian singer's exploration of her Portuguese heritage on Folklore. "In the studio, initially I didn’t know if I could do it, 'cause Timbaland wrote that chorus," Furtado said. "I'm like, 'That's cool, but I don't know if I'm ready to do full-out club.'" The flirty lyrics are a dance between a guy and girl, each knowing they will end up in bed together but still playing the game. "Tim and I called it 'The BlackBerry Song,' she said, "because everything we say in the song you could text-message to somebody."
