Migos member Offset, whose given name is Kiari Cephus, was arrested in his hometown of Atlanta on Thursday, TMZ reports. The rapper was pulled over and police officers discovered he was driving on a suspended license.
Offset's lawyer, Drew Findling, told TMZ that Offset thought that the $316 fine for the suspended license and failure to appear in court had been paid, but apparently it was not. Findling said that Offset cannot be bailed out until Friday, so he will spend at least one night in jail.
In December, Offset was released from prison after serving about eight months time for felony possession of cocaine, Oxycontin, and codeine as well as charges of carrying a loaded weapon in a school zone. Fellow Migos' member and Offset's cousin Quavo was also arrested at the same time on the same charges while they were in the middle of performing a concert on April 18th.
In May, Offset was denied bail after allegedly assaulting another inmate, which led to two additional charges, battery and causing a riot in a penal institution. But by December, Offset had reached a plea agreement and received five years probation.
A representative for Migos was not immediately available for comment.
