God's Love We Deliver – a nonprofit that delivers free meals to people suffering from serious illnesses in the New York metropolitan area – announced plans for its first benefit concert on Thursday, March 9th at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan.

The organization recruited an accomplished and wide-ranging lineup of performers for the show, including Mavis Staples, Cyndi Lauper, Jackson Browne, Michael McDonald, Aaron Neville, Dr. John, Sam Moore of Sam & Dave, William Bell, Anthony Hamilton, Gary Clark Jr. and Susan Tedeschi. These lauded vocalists will be backed by a house band that includes veterans like Paul Shaffer and musicians who have played with Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan.

Designer John Varvatos and real estate executive Greg Williamson helped organize the event, which will also highlight the accomplishments of God's Love We Deliver over the previous 31 years of its existence and help lay a foundation for the organization to continue its beneficial work in the future.

Tickets for "Love Rocks NYC! A Change Is Gonna Come: Celebrating Songs of Peace, Love and Hope" go on sale January 28th at noon on Ticketmaster's website. All proceeds go to God's Love We Deliver.
