An Atlanta man has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the boating accident that lead to the death last summer of Usher's 11-year-old former stepson, The Associated Press reports. A lawyer for Jeffrey Simon Hubbard entered the plea on charges of first-degree homicide by vessel, reckless operation of a vessel, unlawful operation of a personal watercraft, boat traffic violation and serious injury by vessel.
Usher Wins Custody of His Two Sons
The incident occurred last July when Kile Glover – the son of Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, whom he divorced in 2009 – was vacationing with his father at Georgia's Lake Lanier. Hubbard reportedly crashed his jet ski into an inner tube the boy was riding in, striking him in the head and leaving him unconscious.
Glover was declared brain dead after the incident, and was taken off life support a few weeks later after doctors determined his injuries were too severe to overcome.
