A man claiming to be the former drummer of White Zombie has been arrested in California in connection with multiple fraudulent incidents, the Marin Independent Journal reports. Police say 46-year-old Loren Breckenridge has been using the name of White Zombie drummer Phil Buerstatte, but are unsure if the name is an alias for an impostor – or if Buerstatte is Breckenridge's legitimate stage name.

Breckenridge allegedly defrauded a California rehab center for $75,000 in false checks and bank account information. While investigating the incident, police learned Breckenridge was wanted in connection with a similar case of fraud involving another rehab center. There are also warrants for his arrest in Florida and Minnesota, and his record is riddled with theft, forgery and fraud charges.

White Zombie broke up in 1998, with Rob Zombie continuing with a solo career. Phil Buerstatte played in the band from 1992-94.

“Oh Sherrie”

Steve Perry | 1984

Steve Perry's girlfriend Sherrie Swafford was actually in the studio when Perry began writing this song--his lone Top Ten hit as a solo act--with two co-writers. The trio began at midnight one night with just "Oh, Sherrie!" and "hold on, hold on." Three hours later, they had a complete song. Swafford, however, had to wait until the next day to hear it. "Sherrie actually got tired and went to bed," Perry said. She also appeared in the video, but their relationship did not hold on for long.
