Makes Me Wonder

“Makes Me Wonder” became an international hit for Maroon 5, but Adam Levine wrote this song specifically to respond to what he felt like was a political crisis in America, especially in regard to the war in Iraq. "The chorus is very much about confusion,'' the Maroon 5 lead singer said. "There is so much going on in America at the moment. I hope we [the U.S.] can dig ourselves out of this hole. There's a bunch of confusion going on in the world."
