Artist: Field Study
Song: "Lost and Found"
"I wrote 'Lost and Found' about a 26 hour train ride across China," Field Study's Caleb Stull tells Rolling Stone. "I found myself with a seat ticket while many locals had a cheaper ticket and stood. Some slept standing up. That experience changed my sense of place in the world. 'Lost and Found' is about that moment while traveling when our concept of self, and our distinct identity, is eroded and lost. We realize that, regardless of who we are or where we come from, we all want very similar things for ourselves and our families. And, once we realize that, a new sense of self is found."
