This morning we posted an exclusive interview with Bob Dylan about his new album Tempest. Now you have the opportunity to hear music from the disc for the first time. The trailer for the second season of Cinemax series Strike Back features a long sample of the new bluesy song "Early Roman Kings." Check it out below:
The new season of Strike Back begins August 17th, and that evening Cinemax will debut "Scarlet Town," another song from Tempest. The album arrives in stores on September 11th.
This isn't the first time that Dylan's music has surfaced in an unlikely place. In 2005, he recorded the song "Tell O' Bill" for the Charlize Theron movie North Country. Two years later, he released "Lucky You" on the soundtrack to the Drew Barrymore film Lucky You, and in 2003 his song "Cross the Green Mountain" appeared on the soundtrack to the Civil War movie, Gods and Generals. This does appear to be the first time, however, that he's debuted music in the trailer to a television series – though he did make a cameo on an episode of Dharma and Gregg in 1999.
