Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill married model Martha Patterson in Charlotte, Tennessee on Saturday, Us Weekly reports.
Followill had proposed to Patterson last April at his home in Nashville just a few months after the couple started dating. A source described the nuptials as a typical "country wedding," which both the bride and groom dressed in Lucchese boots.
"Today, I get married. It's the biggest step I've ever taken," Followill tweeted on Saturday. "I've dreamed about this day since I was a little girl."
Caleb and Nathan Followill, Jared's older brothers and bandmates, along with their cousin and bandmate Matthew Followill, were all in attendance at the ceremony. While Kings of Leon took a hiatus after pulling our of their U.S. tour last summer, the Followill brothers have had an eventful year in terms of family life. Caleb welcomed a baby girl in June, and Nathan and his wife are expecting their first child in December. Jared recently told Rolling Stone that the band has just begun to plan their next album.
Jared Followill also recently joined forces with Nick Brown of Mona for a new project under the name Smoke and Jackal; their six-song debut, EP1, is due out on October 16th.
