Kid Rock Encourages Stealing From Everybody in PSA

June 19, 2008 11:20 AM ET

Kid Rock has stepped up yesterday's endorsement of stealing music with the above PSA. Yesterday, Rock told the BBC that not only should people steal songs but also "steal everything," including gas. In today's video, he cheekily says stealing from people is okay as long as they're "fucking rich" — people like Steve Jobs, Tommy Hilfiger, the Toyota corporation and himself. Click above for the complete clip, including an awesome stinger where he lights a cigar and tells the kids to stay in school and keep off the drugs.

“Long Walk Home”

Bruce Springsteen | 2007

When the subject of this mournful song returns home, he hardly recognizes his town. Springsteen told Rolling Stone the alienation the man feels is a metaphor for life in a politically altered post-9/11 America. “Who would have ever thought we’d live in a country without habeas corpus?” he said. “That’s Orwellian. That’s what political hysteria is about and how effective it is. I felt it in myself. You get frightened for your family, for your home. And you realize how countries can move way off course, very far from democratic ideals.”
