Ke$ha's brother, filmmaker Lagan Sebert, shot the footage for the series over two years, and the series will also focus on the singer's personal life, including her attempts to find love. Producer and writing partner Dr. Luke is among the executive producers for the series.

"You might have heard my voice on the radio, seen me onstage or in a music video, but that's only a part of the story," Ke$ha said  in a statement. "With this documentary series I'm revealing a more complete picture of what my life is really like. It's not all glamorous, but it's all real."

“Help Me”

Joni Mitchell | 1974

Joni Mitchell wrote and recorded this song for her album Court and Spark, but she had to switch from her regular band to make the song sound exactly the way she wanted. "I had attempted to play my music with rock & roll players," she told Rolling Stone. "They’d laugh, 'Awww, isn't that cute? She's trying to teach us how to play.'" Mitchell switched to a jazz band, Tom Scott’s L.A. Express, and scored the biggest hit of her career in the process.
