A band of thieves reportedly stole an estimated $330,000 in cash earnings from a Justin Bieber concert in Johannesburg, South Africa, this past sunday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While the pop star was on stage, the suspects supposedly undertook a scheme worthy of Ocean's 11and used ropes and chisels to lower themselves into a safe room at the FNB Stadium.
Stadium management and concert promotors didn't learn of the break-in until the day after the show. FNB has subsequently been on lockdown as police, forensic specialists and security company officials investigate the scene of the crime.
The South African heist is undoubtedly the cherry atop the bizzaro sundae that's been the most recent leg of Bieber's Believe world tour. Other dumbfounding incidents include (but not limited to) a screaming match with paparazzi, a confounding guestbook entry at the Anne Frank House museum, the discovery of drugs on his tour bus and a detained and quarantined pet monkey.
