Justin Bieber has a month to pick up his capuchin monkey, Mally, after the little simian was detained and quarantined by German customs officials last week. Bieber was headed to Munich for a show, and brought Mally along for the Austrian and German legs of his European tour. But the singer didn't have the proper documentation for the monkey, so Mally was taken into custody. The creature has been in the care of a shelter.

Mally is only 14 weeks old, and Bieber will likely have to pay an unspecified fine if he doesn't return for his pet, Reuters reports. "If he doesn't [present the papers], Mally will be taken to a good animal shelter that has experience rearing groups of young capuchin monkeys and can ensure disoriented Mally becomes a healthy little capuchin," said the shelter.

Mally was a gift to Bieber from record producer Mally Mall, and Bieber continued on his tour as the monkey was left with customs. It's another headache for the 19-year-old singer, who recently fainted backstage at a London show, angered fans by starting another show at O2 Arena show two hours late, threatened a photographer, vented on Twitter, canceled a show in Portugal and penned an open letter railing against comparisons of him to Lindsay Lohan. He's also accused of attacking one of his neighbors, and the incident is under investigation.
