Jack White recently told BBC Radio 1 that he has enough leftover songs from the Blunderbuss sessions to cut another album, NME reports. "We had enough for an album at one point, but I just kept going," White told host Zane Lowe. "I've got another 12 songs that I haven't finished yet."
White said that he is now free to finish material that never got anywhere with his bandmates over the years. "There's songs that White Stripes never really played live, or the Raconteurs never really got that into, or songs that I brought to the table in a band – songs like [the Dead Weather's] 'I Cut Like a Buffalo' – and now I can elaborate on them."
Though White has plenty of material to draw on, it may be a little while before he records another solo album. He's about to embark on a tour in support of Blunderbuss and is set to write, perform and produce the soundtrack to Disney's forthcoming The Lone Ranger remake.
