Comedians have been popping up in indie rock music videos for years now, but writer-director Tom Scharpling's new clip for the New Pornographer's majestic new single "Moves" ups the ante by packing an unprecedented number of funny people into just over four minutes. Presented as a trailer for a New Pornographers biopic, the video includes includes cameos by the Daily Show's John Oliver, John Hodgman and Wyatt Cenac; Community's Donald Glover; former Saturday Night Live cast member Horatio Sanz; rocker Ted Leo; and comedians Todd Barry and Julie Klausner, among many others. Superchunk drummer and regular Scharpling collaborator Jon Wurster steals the show in his star turn as band leader AC Newman, amping up the melodrama while wearing the world's worst red wig.
