December 10, 2001 12:00 AM ET

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw had their third child, a girl, on Thursday, December 6th at a Tennessee hospital. Hill and baby, Audrey Caroline, are doing well.

"To be blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl," Hill said, "what a way to kick off the holiday season for us."

Audrey joins older sisters Grace, who is four, and Maggie, who is three. Hill and McGraw have been married since 1996.

The lone male in the family, McGraw expressed his joy at the arrival saying, "I'm still king of the house, and my girls will always keep me in line. I couldn't be happier."

“Tonight's the Night”

The Shirelles | 1960

The lead cut and title track from this girl group's debut album, "Tonight's the Night" was written by 19-year-old bandmember Shirley Owens, who sings lead, and producer Luther Dixon. The band from Passaic, New Jersey met in high school, first calling themselves the Pequellos. The song's frank thoughts about sexual and emotional surrender was racy for the time, but that didn't stop the Chiffons from cutting a similar version immediately after the original came out. "We were the first female group to write some of our own material," band member Beverly Lee recalls. "We did have some say-so in our writing."
