Perfume Genius has released the second single from his upcoming album, No Shape. Mike Hadreas unveiled the track while participating in a Twitter Q&A on Wednesday.

Differing from the musically ornate first single "Slip Away," "Go Ahead" is a more minimalist offering with spare, but direct lyrics. Over skittering beats and light, glitchy melodies, Hadreas defiantly deflects unsolicited commentary.

"What you think?/ I don't remember asking," he sings. "What you mean?/ Baby, take a seat/ Now watch me/ Watch me walk on by/ Honestly/ Next one won't be free/ Go ahead, go ahead and try." Later, Hadreas confidently notes that he's "already walking in the light."

The follow-up to 2014's Too Bright, fourth album No Shape will be released on May 5th via Matador. The artist will head on tour next month, beginning in Detroit at Magic Stick on May 10th.
