In September, Deadmau5 announced that he would be taking a 10-day vacation to participate in the Gumball 3000, a road race starting in Miami that travels up to New York City before the participants' cars are loaded onto a plane, flown to Europe and driven through Paris, Barcelona and — where else — Ibiza.
If the electronic music producer born Joel Zimmerman's car is — what else — a customized Nyan Cat Ferrari, his theme song is "Infra Turbo Pigcart Racer," a 10-minute track that substitutes the rising-and-falling template for most EDM with a driving house beat that perhaps imitates both the length and the excitement of the long race (which, incidentally, he'll be livestreaming on his website).
Released on Mau5trap, Deadmau5's Astralwerks subsidiary, the song follows "Avaritia" and the Colleen D'Agostino-featuring "Seeya" as our third glimpse at his upcoming double LP, curiously titled while(1<2). Hear an exclusive stream on the song below, and pre-order the record, which is scheduled to be released on June 17th, here.
