A$AP Ferg has recruited an all-star team of collaborators for his upcoming Always Strive and Prosper, the follow-up to his breakout 2013 LP Trap Lord. Among the artists appearing on the Harlem rapper's new album is Skrillex, who provides the buoyant, skittish beat on "Hungry Ham," an ode to Ferg's Hamilton Heights neighborhood that boasts additional vocals by Crystal Caines.
As the rapper noted in a recent interview, Grimes originally provided the background vocals on "Hungry Ham" but was ultimately replaced on the track by Ferg collaborator Caines. "All my features just happened," Ferg told Stereogum. "[At first] I didn’t have any features on it. Just to get a well-rounded album, I wanted to get guests and friends."
Ferg's loaded Always Strive and Prosper also features appearances by Future (on first single "New Level"), Rick Ross, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Schoolboy Q, Missy Elliott, Ty Dolla $ign, Chuck D, the A$AP Mob and more. Producers include Clams Casino, Stargate, Lex Luger and DJ Khalil. Ferg's new album arrives April 22nd.
