Green Day Getting Musical Episode of 'Angry Birds Friends'

Pop-punk titans appearing in 10 new levels with exclusive song

Green Day are getting their own musical episode in Angry Birds Friends. The pop-punk titans have teamed with Rovio Entertainment to appear in 10 new levels and give their likenesses to new pig characters in the Facebook-based video game. The episode will also feature the band's latest single "Oh Love" and the exclusive song "Troublemaker."

"We're all fans of Angry Birds," said Billie Joe Armstrong in a press release. "It's such an addictive game that when we first started playing it we couldn't stop."

More updates and details will come this fall. No release date has been given. Green Day are readying their album trilogy ¡Uno!¡Dos!¡Tré!, with ¡Uno! set for release September 25th.

This blunt, bitter breakup song -- famous for its line "Would she go down on you in a theater?" -- was long rumored to be about Alanis Morissette getting dumped by Full House actor Dave Coulier. But while she never confirmed it was about him (Coulier himself says it is, however), she insisted the song wasn't all about scorn. "By no means is this record just a sexual, angry record," she told Rolling Stone. "The song wasn't written for the sake of revenge. It was written for the sake of release. I'm actually a pretty rational, calm person."
