Arcade Fire may have taken to the streets to announce the title of their upcoming album. Graffiti images featuring a circle with diamonds and letters spelling out "REFLEKTOR" have popped up in various cities around the world, and Consequence of Sound reports that a few street artists responsible for the work have said that it's indeed tied to the Canadian indie-rock juggernaut.
The band announced the release date (October 29th) of the new album via Twitter, but have remained pretty tight-lipped about the project. Producer and former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy has been teasing fans all summer, promising the album is amazing.
In addition to the graffiti, an Instagram account called "Reflektor" has been created, and has shared multiple shots of the street art as well as video of an artist writing down the word with Arcade Fire-esque music playing in the background.
Arcade Fire has yet to comment (or tweet) about the grafitti or album title.
