Grace Potter Describes Next Album as a Growing 'Big Fat Baby'

Frontwoman describes raw material as a growing 'big fat baby'

Good things have been happening for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. The band has maintained a breakneck schedule, taking their self-described blend of "psychedelic disco rock" to festivals across the globe – including their own, upcoming Grand Point North festival in Vermont this month.  Backstage at Lollapalooza, Potter tells Rolling Stone that she already has stuff brewing in the pot for her next album.  She actually uses a different metaphor for the raw song material, likening the demos to jelly.  "The heartbeat of the record is starting to form," she says.  "It’s in embryo right now, but it’s gonna be a big fat baby."
