Indie-rock duo the Rosebuds recently released their fifth full-length album, Loud Planes Fly Low, and Rolling Stone has an exclusive download of their song "Come Visit Me." The mellow track features a seamless combination of strings and retro dance beats that pair nicely with airy, pop-folk vocals. "I'm usually a very figurative writer, but these lyrics taught me so much about the aesthetic beauty of being direct," vocalist Kelly Crisp tells Rolling Stone. “Even though it is heavy with metaphor, it is still totally honest. Performing it live makes me so proud of myself for who I am now." The lyrics are poignant, and as the songs builds, so does Crisp’s yearning. "I wanna feel something way out here / I need something to happen now / Even if it fucks me up / Come visit me," she sings. And her request is hard to resist.
