Foo Fighters have set April 12 as the release date for their as-yet untitled seventh album. To further amp up enthusiasm for the record, the band have hidden a brief sample from one of their new songs on the site FooFighters.fm. [Billboard]

Former Prince Drummer in Critical Condition
Bobby Z, a musician best known as the drummer in Prince's band the Revolution from 1978 to 1986, has suffered a heart attack. He is currently in critical condition at a hospital in the Minneapolis area. [Star Tribune]

Score by Radiohead Member Gets Domestic Release
Radiohead multi-instrumentalist Jonny Greenwood's score for the film Norwegian Wood is set to be released in the United States by Nonesuch Records on March 8. The soundtrack had previously only been available as an import. [Pitchfork]
