Artist: The Young Evils
Song: "Dead Animals"
Album: Foreign Spells EP
"'Dead Animals' is definitely not about any animals actually dying. It's simply a metaphor for what two people will feel like if their toxic relationship continues. In the song, the female is the one who has the revelation and the drive to finally break it off after being so scared to end it for so long," The Young Evils' Troy Nelson explains to Rolling Stone. "Break-up songs are usually depressing. I just wanted to write a positive and uplifting one for a change."
