"'Midnight Love' was one of the first songs we wrote together as a band. We were actually in a car driving to the studio when we worked on the demo using a computer and small mic," singer Adam Kane tells Rolling Stone. "The lyrics are about getting away and escaping from a situation that's falling apart. Ironically, the original demo picked up a police car siren going past – but of course, we didn't include that in the finished version!"
