Coheed and Cambria bassist Michael Todd was arrested yesterday for allegedly robbing a Walgreens pharmacy only hours before his band opened up for a Soundgarden show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
According to police, Todd entered the Walgreens just after 1 p.m. and showed a pharmacist behind the counter a note on his cell phone. In the note, Todd threatened to detonate a bomb if he was not given the prescription pain killer Oxycontin. The bassist took six bottles of Oxycontin and got back to the venue in a cab. He was later arrested without incident after police tracked the cab's dispatcher to the arena.

Todd has been charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics. He is being held on $10,000 bail and will be arraigned later today. In the meantime, Coheed and Cambria will continue their tour with longtime associate Wes Styles filling in for Todd on bass. "We are surprised to say the least and will address the situation with Michael after the tour," the band wrote in a statement on their official Tumblr.
