Calvin Harris stares down a virtual reality breakup in his artful "My Way" video. The singer-producer watches his relationship disintegrate via frame glitches and shuddering images, as his future ex vanishes before his eyes. Emil Nava, who previously helmed Harris' videos for "This Is What You Came For" and "How Deep Is Your Love," directed the futuristic clip.
Harris released the pulsating breakup anthem in September. "I made my move, and it was all about you," the Scottish DJ croons over pounding drums. "Now I feel so far removed."
"I'm singing on it," Harris told iHeartRadio that same month. "I like to sing on a song every two or three years or so, so the time is right. The song is kind of about breaking out a situation you thought was a good thing, and you're way more comfortable out of it. It could be anything – it could be a job, could be a relationship."
Harris, who has previously collaborated with artists like Ellie Goulding, Haim and Big Sean, rarely sings on his own tracks – the most recent example being his 2014 hit "Summer."
This year, Harris has worked with Dizzee Rascal ("Hype"), John Newman ("Olé") and Rihanna ("This Is What You Came For"). He co-wrote the latter track, which peaked at Number Three on Billboard's Hot 100, with ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.
