When Calvin Harris teamed with Ellie Goulding last year for "I Need Your Love," they created a celestial track with swift synth blips, striking piano stabs and grinding, toothy electro bass. But on this new remix, Nicky Romero takes the spirit of the original and reworks each feature with added intensity. Synths still blip, yet flitter and blink with newly hypnotizing effect. Syncopated drums pierce through more than in the original, and Romero lets the track burn slowly before erupting with overwhelming, grandiose fervor.
The original version of "I Need Your Love" is on Harris' latest album, 18 Months.
