New Orleans police arrested rapper C-Murder Friday, and he was subsequently charged with murder in connection with the January 12th shooting death of a sixteen-year-old.
C-Murder (Corey Miller), younger brother of No Limit founder Percy "Master P" Miller, was picked up at the House of Blues in New Orleans' French Quarter and held in connection with a separate disturbance there, as well as an outstanding domestic violence charges.
Police from Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, then issued a warrant tying Miller to the January 12th killing at a nightclub in the town of Harvey. The incident was allegedly the result of a disagreement between Miller and the victim.
As many as 300 people were in the club at the time, but police have suggested that many witnesses were reluctant to come forward given Miller's influence and reputation for violence. In August, the Miller turned himself into police in Baton Rouge, and was charged with attempted first-degree murder after he allegedly tried to shoot a local nightclub owner. Miller was free on $100,000 bond when the latest incident occurred.
Miller is currently being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on $1 million bond. No date has been set for an arraignment hearing.
