"When I think of good Christmas tunes, I love that A Christmas Gift for You From Phil Spector album. Jarod Evans at Blackwatch Studios in Norman, OK produced this track and helped me make a 'Phil Spector-ish' Christmas song of my own," Samantha Crain tells Rolling Stone. "The story is lighthearted. It's just about a girl getting the courage up to talk to a boy around Christmas time. Also, I had to throw in the bit about going to a Thunder game because, to me, watching Thunder games is synonymous with the holidays."
