Artist: Adam Franklin & Bolts of Melody
Album: Black Horses
"My new album Black Horses as a whole, takes a cue from the great soundtrack era of the 1960s," Adam Franklin tells Rolling Stone. "There was this bit at the end of one of John Barry's film scores that really hit me. The film, which came out in 1969, totally bombed, but the soundtrack was a real winner, and I was drawn to this little four note turn-around that occurs at the end of each verse. So, I took that and spun it into my own song, which is why 'Boom!' has a bit of a James Bond vibe to it."
