B.o.B entertained the crowd at Austin's La Zona Rosa on March 17th in his position as the first of three headliners at Atlantic Records' Killers Lasers Papers showcase (co-sponsored by Rolling Stone). "For me, [SXSW] is a tradition," the Atlanta rapper announced between songs, bounding across the stage with evident glee. "This is where I started doing the whole festival shit." His performance included rapid-fire rhyme clinics like "Bet I" as well as plenty of the Top 40 pop-rap hits that made him a star last year, including "Airplanes," "Magic" and "Nothin' On You." After performing the latter smash, B.o.B remarked, "I feel like y'all hear this shit on the radio all the time. What do y'all want to hear?" And with that, he launched into his 2007 deep cut "Haterz Everywhere."
Before the show, B.o.B told Rolling Stone more about why he loves SXSW -- and gave us a sneak preview of what's in store for his second album, which he hopes to release later this year. Watch the video interview above.
