"'ARMZ' started out as a breezy, lilting acoustic guitar song that I felt invoked a bit of CSN-era Stephen Stills," Wilco's Mikael Jorgenson explains. "It became the fulcrum that the whole record pivoted around as it was the first song where we fully stripped away the basic recordings, and then re-recorded parts with analog synths, plug-ins, circuit bent gizmos, and NES technology."
