Entertainer & New Artist Crapshoots

Will the King reign supreme? George Strait's Cowboy Rides Away Tour is history and this could be his last shot at the top prize. It sure doesn't hurt that he won it last year, but finding four more deserving competitors in the same category (Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban) does make it impossible to call this one a Strait-up lock. When it comes to the New Artist category, things are almost as tight. It's tough to argue with such firmly established acts Brett Eldredge, Kip Moore, Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell, but as a critical favorite (and the lone woman among the pack), singer-songwriter Brandy Clark could pull off the upset.
