Best Chicago Tribute: SZA

Lolla's three-day weekend was filled with Chicago shout-outs, but few were as appropriate — or as subtle — as SZA's. Opening the main stage on Friday afternoon, the singer danced out to the skittish footwork of DJ Spinn and Taso's "Burn That Kush," letting the title phrase repeat itself before jumping into her own "Warm Winds." For fans of local dance music, it was an exciting homage to a genre that otherwise didn't make it past the gates.
