Icona Pop's breakout hit "I Love It" was one of last year's most memorable anthems, but the Swedish duo never performed it live with their track collaborator, Charli XCX. Sonic Youth is on ice for now, but Thurston Moore's new band Chelsea Light Moving proves he hasn't lost his edge. Fitz and the Tantrums brought a healthy dose of grooving synth-pop to Rolling Stone's Rock Room during this year's SXSW festival. I attended my first South by Southwest in 1991. The Austin, Texas megathon was in its sixth year and still intimate enough to fit in one hotel and two dozen venues, with room for all.
