After dicey weather dominated the first two days of Lollapalooza, Sunday was pure bliss in Chicago: Not only was there a pleasant breeze blowing in from Lake Michigan – in marked contrast to the blistering heat Friday and violent thunderstorms that prompted organizers to evacuate and briefly suspend the festival Saturday – there was killer music on eight stages all day long. "Damned if we didn't get lucky with the weather tonight," Jack White said, surveying the sp...  | More »

Rolling Stone's Rock Room party on Saturday helped revitalize Lollapalooza's tired and waterlogged attendees with sets from Bombay Bicycle Club, Yellow Ostrich and Women Who Rock contest finalists Rita Ora and Karmin. The amenities at the Studio Paris club weren't too shabby, either – free mojitos, burgers and a fresh oyster bar. "This show is different than any other show we've played, just with the never-ending stream of waiters offering you milk and cookies or vo...  | More »

It was a scene straight out of The Day After Tomorrow: a sea of confused, disgruntled people flooding the streets of Chicago, left to wonder about their fate. The cause of this mayhem: severe thunderstorms, which temporarily forced the evacuation of the second day of Lollapalooza on Saturday. All was not lost, however: after a nearly three-hour delay, festival officials reopened the gates and Lolla was officially back on. The suspension did have some irreparable effects. Several performances...  | More »

    August 4, 2012 1:00 PM ET

The San Diego rockers Delta Spirit sat down in Rolling Stone's Rock Room to talk about finding themselves in that "boys-to-men stage of our lives," as bassist Jon Jameson put it. Not that it's all serious stuff for this band: they also chatted about singer/guitarist Matthew Vasquez's tendency to let his mind wander, leaving California and the criteria needed if crowd-surfing became an Olympic sport. "The first category, because everyone's done it," points out guitari...  | More »
