While former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has kept his musical agenda full with new band Beady Eye, his clothing line Pretty Green has proven to grow legs at retail. Recently nominated by the Global Fashion Awards for Best Breakthrough Brand, the mod-influenced line is benefiting from collaborations with some of that subculture's biggest icons. Paul Weller, Jam frontman, close friend and collaborator of Gallagher's has guest designed for the line – and today Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal that Pretty Green has designed a limited edition parka for the November 14th reissue of The Who's powerhouse Quadrophenia.

The parka, worn by the infamous London mod "Jimmy" on that record's cover, will be extremely limited in supply: only 100 are to be produced. Retailing for £500, the parka will only be available from Pretty Green's Carnaby Street store, making it a true destination purchase for commited fans. To coincide with the release, Pretty Green's store will also showcase a special exhibition of Pete Townshend’s Quadrophenia archives of notes, desk, diaries, photos and original lyrics artwork and other memorabilia from around that period of The Who's career.

Speaking of the collaboration, Gallagher offered straightforward enthusiasm: "As I’m a massive fan of The Who, and Quadrophenia being one of my favorite albums of all time, it’s an honor to be associated," he said in a statement.

Oasis fans less inclined to spend so much on a piece of style merchandise from their idols may be interested in purchasing a pair of Noel Gallagher's retro-loving 72 NG sneakers for Adidas. Meanwhile, Who fans can preorder The Quadrophenia "Director's Cut" boxset here.
