Single Minded: Kate Bush Meets M.I.A., Peaches Takes on Tone Loc

Kate Bush vs. M.I.A., "Dreaming of Boys" [Mashup]
Pop's original weird woman gets cut up and pasted alongside pop's latest weird woman for a mashup that should the lunatic in anyone.

Greg Laswell, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" [Cyndi Lauper Cover]
A husky-toned male vocalist sighing his way through "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" should be about as appealing as having to re-do 7th grade in your underwear. But this actually rocks.

Adam Brand, "Teenage Dirtbag" [Wheatus Cover]
Who says we live in a divided country? Brand's bluegrass cover of this bratty mid-'90s alt-rock radio song is change we can believe in.

Bat For Lashes, "Sweet Dreams" [Eurythmics Cover]
Covering "Sweet Dreams" at this point is as daring and innovative as covering "All Along the Watchtower." The trick here, though, is that we'd actually listen to a Bat for Lashes cover of "All Along the Watchtower."

Tone Loc feat. Peaches, "Wild Thing" [Remix]
It took Peaches this long to get around to jumping on "Wild Thing"? Really? Like, this should have been on one of her demos. I'm pretty sure when Tone Loc wrote this song he was like, "In about 20 years, Peaches is going to tear this up."
