Foo Fighters' Tour Rider: Funnier Than "What Happens in Vegas"

Whenever the Smoking Gun unearths an artist's tour rider, we relish the opportunity to poke fun at the requests for tapioca pudding, Connect Four and, in the case of Amy Winehouse, a stocked selection of liquor. The Foo Fighters, well aware of the absurdity of demands like a bowl full of only green M&Ms and non-leather couches, have intentionally raised the bar on the hilarity of the tour rider. While their requests are pretty mundane, the Foos seemed to have outsourced authorship of their tour rider to the Laugh Factory, as the twenty-six page document is rife with countless fat jokes about roadies and even refers to Dave Grohl as "the guy from Nirvana."

Other highlights include a request for unopened cereal boxes and not the Lucky Charms Ronnie James Dio plowed through the night before, Gatorades with "wacky colors" and a bag of Pirate's Booty, "but not Johnny Depp's." The rider also warns that if the band doesn't get their sixteen ounce Solo cups, a "catering jihad" will be called. In the section "Wow, Rock Stars Ask For Stupid Crap," the band demands that films starring Jamie Kennedy and Martin Lawrence be banned from backstage. And that's just for starters. Follow the Smoking Gun's red arrows for the rest of the comedy gold.
