I once took a piss at CBGB during Sonic Youth's final show there in 2006 and it scarred me so severely, I didn't enter a dingy club bathroom for months. But if you happen to miss the fetid stench of urine, feces and cheap cocaine, artist Justin Lowe is planning to recreate the club's basement bathroom at Hartford, Connecticut's Wadsworth Antheneum. His exhibit will run from June 3rd through September 5th. Female visitors: Be sure to bring your own squares of TP.
Lowe seems to get a kick out of staging crazy installations like the freakin' john of one of rock's seediest clubs. Last year, he took over New York's Deitch Projects to transform three of the space's rooms into meth labs.
