That tidal wave of 808s, neon and Miami Vice suits above is San Diego Chargers' running back LaDainian Tomlinson's new viral music video for "LT Slide, Electric Glide," our favorite music-related football clip since the 1985 Chicago Bears premiered the Super Bowl Shuffle, the Springsteen slide and those Dallas Cowboys offensive linemen formed a metal band. To use the vernacular of the sport, LT scores a touchdown with this clip, making us almost completely forget that he's a Hall of Fame-bound running back and not the frontman from Mantronix. We're not entirely sure of the roots of the clip — we're guessing by the Nike logo cameo early on that it's a commercial of some kind — but LT really Midnite Vultures the hell out of it. It's just so absurdly mind-bending, from the awkwardly-dancing bearded guy with the "Hit That Hole" shirt to lyrics like "Let's see a touchdown dance, do your little dance, shake your little hips, ha ha ha ha," that even an unbiased football follower might be swayed to root for the Chargers when they host the New York Jets this weekend just for the chance to see LT perform an Electric Glide in the end zone.
