Inspired by the Afrocentric psychedelics of George Clinton and Sly Stone, OutKast created an idiosyncratic sound blending funk and Southern bump. The duo put Atlanta on the map as a hip-hop city while recording some of the genre's most memorable songs from the 1990s and early 2000s, including "Ms. Jackson," "Hey Ya!," "Way You Move," and "B.O.B.."
