The close, high harmonies and soft-rock songs of David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash, sometimes joined by Neil Young, sold millions of albums and were widely imitated throughout the 1970s. The members were as volatile as their songs were dulcet, and since 19070 have continually split up and regrouped.
