The centerpiece of Dr. John's requiem EP for his drowned town is a mostly instrumental suite in which he pours his love and anger into his organ and piano playing. There isn't much sweetness in the vocal hymn "Sweet Home New Orleans," but the closing second-line chorus keeps coming 'round in hope: "We're gonna be back, twice as strong."
