The Veronica Mars movie doesn't come out for another two weeks, but the first two minutes of the film have just been released on YouTube. And for those needing a little reminder of what the show was all about before plunging into the new super-sized installment, the opener offers just that.

"A teenaged private eye – trust me, I know how dumb that sounds," Kristen Bell declares in the voiceover, before summarizing the events that prompted her precocious investigative career, explaining her relationship with Logan Echolls and dishing the the dirt behind the sunny town of Neptune.

As the trailer for the movie revealed in January, Veronica has moved beyond Neptune and become a bigshot lawyer in New York when a murder case involving Logan sweeps her back to her old high school. The film, written and directed by series creator Rob Thomas, was funded through Kickstarter, raising an amazing $5.7 million from fans of the show.

Veronica Mars will open in about 270 theaters across the country on March 14th, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and it will be available to rent or buy online that same day.
